I photographed this large bullfrog just as it broke the surface in front of me at the edge of a small pond. They are the largest North American frogs, growing up to 8” long, and this frog was close to that maximum size, Water streamed down its face just for an instant, and I caught these drops as they trickled down its nose and dripped back into the water. It appears almost to be smiling, ready for its closeup.
